Overview
The Journal of Emerging Health Sciences (JEHS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, and editorial independence. This policy outlines the principles governing manuscript submission, review, and publication. Authors are expected to comply fully with these policies prior to submission.
Open Access Policy
JEHS is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription or access barriers.
Authorship & Contributorship
JEHS follows ICMJE authorship criteria. Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions may be listed as authors. All submissions must include a contributorship statement using the CRediT taxonomy. Contributors not meeting authorship criteria should be acknowledged. ORCID IDs are encouraged.
Changes in Authorship
Authorship details must be finalized at submission. Any change requires written consent from all authors and must be requested before acceptance. Post-acceptance changes are not permitted.
Conflict of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose financial or non-financial conflicts of interest. Declared conflicts do not automatically lead to rejection. Editors and board members are not permitted to publish in JEHS.
Confidentiality
JEHS adheres to COPE guidelines. All submitted manuscripts and peer-review communications are treated as confidential.
Plagiarism & Similarity Check
JEHS has zero tolerance for plagiarism. All submissions are screened using plagiarism-detection software. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will be rejected or retracted.
Duplicate & Redundant Publication
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Duplicate submission, redundant publication, or salami slicing is strictly prohibited.
Data Integrity
Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is unacceptable. Authors may be required to provide original data for verification. Failure to comply may result in rejection or retraction.
Ethics & Consent
Research involving humans, animals, plants, or biological materials must have prior ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee. Informed consent is mandatory where applicable. JEHS does not accept studies lacking ethical clearance.
Clinical Trial Registration
Clinical trials must be registered in a recognized public registry before participant enrollment. Registration details must be included in the manuscript.
Reporting Guidelines
Authors are encouraged to follow appropriate international reporting guidelines (e.g., CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE, CARE) to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Sex & Gender Reporting
JEHS supports sex- and gender-sensitive research reporting and encourages compliance with SAGER guidelines.
Peer Review Policy
JEHS follows a double-anonymous peer-review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit.
Data Sharing
Authors are encouraged to share datasets through repositories or supplementary files. A data availability statement is required.
Corrections & Retractions
Errors will be corrected through errata or corrigenda. Articles involving serious ethical breaches may be retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Repository & Archiving Policy
JEHS allows authors to archive submitted, accepted, and published versions without embargo. All content is digitally preserved to ensure long-term accessibility.
Appeals & Complaints
Appeals and complaints related to editorial decisions or research integrity are handled confidentially in line with COPE guidelines. Decisions of the Chief Editor is final.
