TERMS OF SUBMISSION

By submitting a manuscript to JEHS, authors confirm that:

  1. They have reviewed the Aims & Scope and ensured the manuscript fits the journal.
  2. The manuscript follows the JEHS Author Guidelines.
  3. They take full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of the work.
  4. They have read and adhered to all JEHS editorial policies.
  5. All authors have approved the final submitted version.
  6. The manuscript is original, not published previously, and not under review elsewhere.
  7. All required institutional and ethical approvals have been obtained.

ARTICLE TYPES

  1. Original research (2,500–4,500 words).
  2. Abstract: single paragraph, ≤300 words.
  3. Structure: Abstract → Introduction → Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusions.

REVIEWS

  1. Comprehensive literature analyses (≈5,000 words).
  2. No new/unpublished data.
  3. Structure: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Sections, Discussion, Conclusions, Future Directions.
  4. Abstract ≤300 words.

SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

  1. Structured evidence synthesis (≥4,000 words).
  2. Must follow PRISMA Guidelines + PRISMA Flow Diagram.
  3. Include search strategy, selection criteria, and protocol registration (e.g., PROSPERO).
  4. PRISMA adherence statement required.

CASE REPORTS

  1. Interesting/unusual cases (≤1,500 words).
  2. Abstract/extract ≤150 words.
  3. Minimal references.

CASE STUDIES

  1. Real-life interventions or organizational experiences (≤1,500 words).
  2. Extract ≤150 words.
  3. Minimal references.

VIEWPOINTS

  1. Opinions/commentaries on techniques or clinical issues (≤1,500 words).
  2. Summary ≤150 words; magazine-style writing.

COMMUNICATIONS

  1. Brief significant findings (≤1,500 words).
  2. May extend earlier research.
  3. Follow the article structure.

LETTERS

  1. Commentary on published work (≤800 words).
  2. Extract ≤100 words; minimal references.
  3. May undergo peer review.

EDITORIALS

  1. Usually commissioned; unsolicited submissions allowed.
  2. ≤800 words; extract ≤100 words.
  3. A few references are recommended.


ANONYMIZED MANUSCRIPT

  1. Remove: names, affiliations, acknowledgments, funding, data statements, bios.
  2. Cite your own work in the third person
  3. Anonymize COI if needed.
  4. Ensure figures/tables do not reveal identity.
  5. Remove trial numbers/dates if identifying.
  6. Use neutral file names; clear file metadata (use Document Inspector).
  7. Do not include identifying info in any files sent for review except the title page & cover letter.

 AI USE DISCLOSURE

  1. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  2. Include this statement before references:
  3. During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [tool] for [purpose]. The authors reviewed and edited the content and take full responsibility for the final work.”

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

  1. Free withdrawal within 7 days of submission.
  2. After peer review or editorial decision →withdrawal fee = APC.

REPOSITORY POLICY

  1. Authors may deposit all versions in any repository.
  2. No embargo; sharing allowed immediately after acceptance/publication.

SUBMIT MANUSCRIPT

  1. Upload the following via OJS
  2. Title Page (authors’ names, affiliations, contacts).
  3. Anonymized Main Manuscript (no identifying info).
  4. License Agreement (signed by corresponding author).
  5. Other required files: Cover letter, figures, tables, supplementary files, ethics approval, and compliance documents.
